ii. Generate an independent thesis project

 

 

iii. Submit the thesis project to the Research Committee for approval

Submit the thesis project to the Research Committee for approval by October 1

Complete the necessary on-line training and apply for IRB/ACUC approval as necessary.

Apply for grant funding, if needed.

4.

 

Begin data collection and analysis.

5.

 

Present project proposal at research rounds, review recommendations with research mentor.

 

 

 

PGY-3

 

 

1.

 

Carry out major portion of research during research rotation.

2.

 

Present project proposal at research rounds, review recommendations with research mentor.

 

 

 

PGY-4

Finish data collection and analysis.

Begin manuscript preparation.

Present project proposal at research rounds, review recommendations with research advisor.

Submit abstract to national scientific meeting.

Present study at national scientific meeting.

Complete manuscript revisions as necessary and submit for publication.

Submit manuscript in PDF format to Research Committee by May 1 for peer review by committee and guest speaker. (Note: Manuscripts submitted by April 1 will receive the benefit of editorial review by Elaine Henze prior to peer review.)

4.
